These structured literacy Word Work Mats are PERFECT for practicing phonemic awareness and word building with your students.  Word boxes are such a powerful tool proven to help students with building the skills needed for reading. There are so many ways to use these boxes and they are all hands-on and engaging!                                                       Young children who are starting to learn word building skills should have these mats.

The mat is sewn and hand drawn. On this mat, there are 2 separate areas. One blank space at the top to place objects, the bottom boxes are for letters.
